Electrician - Automation Systems
Description

We are an innovative automation company specializing in designing and building custom robotic systems, machine tending cells, assembly stations, and production workholding solutions. Our team brings together mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering to deliver full Turnkey Solutions. We're growing fast and looking for a skilled Electrician to join our hands-on team. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrician with a strong background in industrial automation. This role involves wiring, building, and troubleshooting electrical panels and machinery based on engineering drawings and schematics. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, project-based environment and be comfortable working in both shop and field settings. 

Responsibilities
  • Build and wire custom industrial control panels per customer/industry standards. 
  • Install conduit, cable trays, wireway, and associated hardware. 
  • Terminate electrical components, including motors, sensors, relays, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and safety devices. 
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and bills of materials. 
  • Support mechanical and controls teams during machine debug, testing, FAT, and installation. 
  • Perform field installations and electrical start-ups at customer sites as required. 
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all electrical builds. 
  • Provide feedback to engineering to improve designs and field performance. 
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of industrial or automation-related electrical experience. 
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and panel layouts. 
  • Proficient in using hand tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment. 
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70E, UL508A, and industrial safety practices. 
  • Experience working with industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA) is a plus. 
  • Being able to travel occasionally for installation and service work is a plus. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Knowledge of PLC wiring (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.). 
  • Familiarity with machine safety circuits (e.g., light curtains, E-stops, safety relays). 
  • Experience in the automation, robotics, or OEM equipment industry. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
